DENTAL IMPLANTS

Improved quality of life

Implant-supported replacement teeth look, feel and function like natural teeth.  They are titanium posts that are placed in the bone.  After healing, a replacement tooth is attached to the post, giving you a restoration that looks and feels a lot like your natural teeth.

Missing teeth affect oral health and appearance.  When a tooth is lost, the bone that surrounded it begins to deteriorate.  In addition, missing teeth may cause existing teeth to shift, leading to changes in natural bite and the possibility of gum disease.  Traditional crowns, bridges and dentures do provide a short-term solution, however, they do not resolve the long term bone loss issue.

For patients, dental implants provide comfort, convenience and confidence.   They restore proper chewing function for the enjoyment of foods previously too difficult to eat.  They will help assure that replacement teeth won't move or loosen.    They can also help improve speech by eliminating or reducing the "fullness" of full or partial dentures.
